ok ive just spend the past 6 hours testing the cables, the inputs and all of the other modules that it could possibly be, the only thing left is the tv tuner itself, i just cant work it out.......

The only way to be sure would be to put a scope on the inputs to the module to see if there was 'noise' present. However, most discreet modules have internal decoupling to get rid of unwanted noise present on the supply and inputs.

I would suspect that there is a fault with this decoupling - possibly why the module was available? Did you buy 2nd hand or new from a BMW parts supplier? If the latter, I suggest you send it back under warranty. If it's the former, do you have someone you know with a TV tuner that you could substitute your hybrid module into to see if they suffer the same symptoms?

it is not a porblem with the tv tuner module itself, i tried several other tuners and the problem is still there. im thinking that the only cause could be the tv tuner cable or the m4 unit itself, this could be causing the problem as i have eliminated every other possible cause....

i now am running a separate porocessor in the car, the processor has multiple optical and analog inputs, is there anyway i can take the sound from the tv tuner and send it directly to the porcessor, im sure there is
