Ice-Link Plus w/ Sirius

Does anyone know if it is possible to hook up an Ice-Link Plus for iPod and Sirius? I currently have the Ice-Link hooked up to the CD changer plugs in the trunk and would like to ad Sirius. I have seen an XM Direct unit with pass through that can be used with a Blitzsafe converter allowing you to hook both up. I am curious if Sirius hasd anything like this.

Many Thanks!

Yes the sirius module has a connection "pass through" point to connect a CD extension harness P/N 84 11 0 141 978.

Per Tom at Icelink you need to use the Sirius from BMW, NOT an aftermarket Sirius kit.

The aftermarket kits emulate the CD Changer, which the Icelink does as well, and the data bus can't handle TWO devices that look like CD changers. Since the BMW Sirius shows on the data bus as a different device than the CD Changer, no conflict occurs.

(As long as you don't have a CD Changer too : )

Thanks for the info. Where can i buy the BMW Sirius module? Am i better off going with the XM Direct unit and will this run with my Ice-Link and the Blitzsafe SLD 01? Log Jam Electronics did not have a definte answer as to the compatabilty of the XM Direct and Ice-Link with the SLD 01.

I would buy the Sirius module from Vaheh at Crevier BMW. Best price I've found, and GREAT service to boot. Really nice guy and knows what you need. Just be willing to play phone tag for a while : )

I don't know anything about XM Direct. I suspect that Blitz emulates the CD Changer as well (since CD changers are their bag, baby) but I'd ask Blitzsafe.

The XM direct works with some users, and not with others, you're MUCH better off going the OEM Sirius route if you want ID3 text and all on the head unit.
