Per Tom at Icelink you need to use the Sirius from BMW, NOT an aftermarket Sirius kit.
The aftermarket kits emulate the CD Changer, which the Icelink does as well, and the data bus can't handle TWO devices that look like CD changers. Since the BMW Sirius shows on the data bus as a different device than the CD Changer, no conflict occurs. (As long as you don't have a CD Changer too : ) |

Thanks for the info. Where can i buy the BMW Sirius module? Am i better off going with the XM Direct unit and will this run with my Ice-Link and the Blitzsafe SLD 01? Log Jam Electronics did not have a definte answer as to the compatabilty of the XM Direct and Ice-Link with the SLD 01.

I would buy the Sirius module from Vaheh at Crevier BMW. Best price I've found, and GREAT service to boot. Really nice guy and knows what you need. Just be willing to play phone tag for a while : )
I don't know anything about XM Direct. I suspect that Blitz emulates the CD Changer as well (since CD changers are their bag, baby) but I'd ask Blitzsafe. |
