I have 3 ideas that I'm bouncing around. The first being going to a 10" and go from there, not too fond since I already have the 12". Option 2 would be to build the box out to the edge of the cargo floor, this would give more volume, keep my 12 at the sacrifice of some space that I probably never use anyway. My third, and current, option is to leave it in the box I have; don't like this option as it takes up a lot of space, have to take it out while working on amps underneath but it would offer the best sound. So, I guess I'm still in the same boat. Hopefully things will go quicker now with the discovery about the line-out from the DSP amp.

I just looked at your system again and notice that you have a JL RBC-1 hooked up as well. Are you planning to route that bass control knob to the front. If you are, can you share how do you do that? Thanks much.

I am going to mount the RBC-1 in the front, quite haven't decided on the exact location. Right now, although I will not admit it was this way once done :p , I have most of the wire sitting under the floormat behind the drivers seat and the cable/knob is resting by the e-brake handle. I wanted to make sure it worked before permanently mounting it. Once I find a permanent home for it, I will definitely share! :thumbup:

JL Audio amps are so nice. I think they are about the best out there. I had a 250/1 and a 300/4 in my 04 f-150. Those things sounded amazing. Here was the setup.

That is a very nice system indeed. I have the 500/1 for the sub (12w6) and a 450/4 for the rest. I have a set of VR-650's that I may use in the doors.
I'm planning on having the system done and the computer in by the "Great Meet of the East" next month.

I am just wondering how do you run the RBC-1 to the front (under the carpet ??) Can you show me specifically because I just got my RBC-1 and still try to figure out how to run the wire and hide it? Thanks much.

There are 2 ways that it can be run. You can remove the backseat and run under the carpet or you can tuck it in the crease of the backseat and run under the door sills to the front. Depends on where you're going to mount it. Wire length really isn't an issue since all JL uses is a regular phone cable from what I can tell/remember. I hope to get some time in the garage this week so I'll try and take some pictures.

from what ur describing, that wire sounds just like the one that Phoenix Gold uses. i do know that Phoenix Golds' wire is a basic RJ-11 phone cord.

yep, that's all it is. I just checked. Nothing fancy and gets the job done.

exactly. in the process of swapping my equipment from vehicle to vehicle, i managed to break mine. so, i went to the store, bought a 10ft phone cord, knob, cut the end of the cord and soldered the 4 wires to the knob. viola! new bass level control knob!
