Hi James,

Just keeping it real and I hope you don't take it the wrong way, but I see one on eBay for $139.99 with $20 shipping right now.

I am looking to build myself a Carputer with a Double Din Enclosure and I can build one for about $250 without the OS and Mobile Software (Centrafuse). I just think the original price for a new Bezel shouldn't be anywhere over $150, let alone $250. It really is just a piece of plastic.

No offense when I'm basically selling mine for the same price. Difference is I know the quality of this one, and you'd be helpin me out ;)

I agree they're stupidly overpriced for a piece of plastic, but I had decided on the stereo before I saw what the bezels go for.

Just finished Z110BT install in 2002 X5 non Nav in the family wagon.

Thanks to fe342185 and NextGen. You guys Rock!!

The setup and some comments:
Avic-Z110BT(XM/HDradio/MSN) Ipod in center console armrest.
My rating:
Head unit A+ (LED button light colors match perfectly)
Navigation map update C- (some missing streets)
Voice control amazing.

Faceplate from X5 Double-DIN Bezel (yes expensive but worth every dollar)

Mic mounted next to OEM mic

Alpine 2 channel IR headphones.

Backup Cam (love it. almost hidden)
BOYO VTL351 ultraslim license plate
camera

SWI-PS steering wheel control ( all works great but cannot program voice recognition-slot 13) - you need to remove the 2 knee panels under steering wheel to access wire for SWI.

GPS antenna in rear spoiler. Not to hard to run through rubber grommet. XM antenna on roof(
Antenna Specialists XM20CP).(Love this ant but may change to spoiler to hide).

To modify single din radio opening: Cut cross bar(plastic). And cut about 1/2 inch top plastic horizontal bar out also for perfect fit.Used the mounting brackets from this kit (Metra Electronics 95-9308B) (faceplate from this kit sucks)

Not sure why I needed 4 LCD screens in the car.. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Adults can listen to XM/IPOD/HDradio and view NAV up front and kids can watch DVD and listen via Alpine IR headphones at the same time. or everyone can listen to DVD.

Put Mic in ceiling. cut hole and glued with Plastic glue. Great pickup

BOYO VTL351 license plate cam.
No relay needed just run wire via tailgate and hook into Reverse light wire. Almost invisible. You can see it above the J in Jersey.

I switched the sunroof and mic locations around so it's closer to me...it's a great location.

Hi,
I always want to replace my wide screen OEM nav with Pioneer Nav. Do you forfeit all the functions that are controlled via Nav monitor ? And would that be quite tempting for thieves since it's expensive piece of equipment? I am just debating before I am going via aftermarket Nav. Thanks.

Justin

Just seeing if this is something someone would be interested in purchasing my bezel. It is a VERY solid piece, about 3/4"-1" thick, has universal bracketing attached for use w/ I'm guessing just about any double din deck. I'm 6'4" and have been accused of reclining my seat back enough to appear that I'm in the backseat :) If I sit upright like a "normal" person the angle is great, but that simply isn't how I sit in my X, especially on 8hr roadtrips back and forth from Seattle and Reno. I bought this from Sobi (his X5 in the pics, it's too cold in the garage to take new pics w/ my black interior ;)...unless that'll make or break the sale), I definately sit further back from the screen than he does, and he can confirm that it's a sturdy bezel and in great shape...for someone under 6' or sits more upright. I'm looking to sell this bezel and force myself to pay the difference to get a mybimmer.net bezel instead. I'd like to get at least like $200, maybe even shipped for it. Any takers?

Bump to see if anyone out there is looking to upgrade to double din and want a bezel. mybimmer.net bezels are going for $250 plus shipping, so how about $125 shipped.

Just so you know, you can move the sunroof switch over to where the mic is located and you can bring the mic closer to you incase you want to improve the performance a little more. Looks great BTW.

Bump for wanting to sell this bezel...$125 shipped. Sorry for the blurry pic...I took it while I was driving to Reno a few days ago.

The second pic just goes to show that even when things are used, they're still perfectly fine ;) My buddy just sent me that one, so I had to share it

That's not a mybimmer.net bezel.
