I have the same Siemens BIT II phone in my '02' 745i.

In IDrive :

Goto Settings (diagonal bottom left)
Select 'More vehicle options' (ICON looks like side of car)

Then make sure the 'Tel.Base' option is selected (should be highlighted in orange which is ON , white is OFF)

This then matches the phone with the car. Make sure you have a working SIM card too. :thumbup:

But in the X5 2003 there is no IDrive .. you have the new software generation in the 7 series 02 :)

I don't think the US members are going to be familiar with that system. If there is no info on it in the owners manual then maybe one of our fellow Saudi area members can chime in with some info/experience.
