alternatives to TVonNAV

I've decided to run my dvd player through the front screen as well as many of you have done. I want to have it in stereo, and from what I've read TVonNAV module is the way to go. But from all the problems other have been having getting items from them I'm a bit worried. Is TVonNAV still the best route to go or should I consider others?

thanks

So I'm reading that the TVonNAV Video Input Solution may be the best way to go. Drex you mentioned in another thread that it's much cheaper to do this route...but this module on their site is $449 where as the TV Module is $199. I must me missing something here...

Its the TV in Motion module that is $199,which is different from the TV video module.

I agree with you.Although I got my TV in Motion Motion module and their AV Harness with RCA inputs/ouputs,their after sales service is extremely poor and they are also very difficult to get hold of!It would be nice to have an alternative.

I spoke to Tom from EAS, specifically because I didnt get any reply from the TvonNav guys. Their VSM (Video Source Module) allows for TV in motion capability, and you'll be able to add another two additional AV inputs

thx. do you have their website?

Hmm I don't know if I trust that either. Has anyone ordered from them before? I'd like to get ahold of Parag and find out what is going on....

You could trust Tom. He's a regular here. Very helpful with all sorts of icelink questions.

the Tv in Motion module requires the OEM Nav (the $199), the other does not. Tom's solution looks really good........

It does, other than having to use an external switch to enable/disable the output to the nav screen. It looked to me like the Advanced Automations one allows you to select the video within the NAV menus, is this correct?
