2012 x5 std audio sucks
any suggestion advise if could be atleast upgraded to harmon kardon quality if not better
Few would argue. The weak links are the amp and speakers. The head unit is OK.
You can do the DSP upgrade, but that is a ton of work and the coding is a challenge. The other option is an amp and speaker upgrade plus add a subwoofer. |
I see! Amp, sub and speaker system upgrade what shall i expect the damage $$
The dollar part is pure personal preference. You would need two pairs of speakers, a sub, and a four-channel amp. That can be anywhere from $350 for basic components. I would probably spend $1,700 to $2,000 if I were buying audio components for my car. Installation would be on top of this.

I think the premium sound sucks balls ! So I can't even imagine the standard.
Hollymolly so looks like I did save $1500;( lol but at least you have full array of cables , DSP in place to work with;)
Yea I guess... The premium sound in my e60 M5 Sounds so good I was in shock how bad the premium sound was when I finally added an x5 to the garage as well.
