You are probably right

I actually replaced the amp too! Nothing changed, then the radio tuner, and it worked. I guess its intuition to replace the amp first. Not to mention my amp had a lot of corrosion on the electrical pins. I still have my old amp I should probably test it to see if it still works. |
Hmmm... sure interested to hear how this one turns out. Three of my speakers have no sound. I've been hoping to find a wiring diagram for my system so I can trace which wires are supposed to be carrying the speaker signals and isolate the problem. So far I've had no luck finding a diagram (the one in the Bentley book doesn't match). It's DSP with 10 (or is it 12?) speaker system. If eyeiieye's problem turns out to be the tuner like hunds02, then I might focus there. Hunds02, did you have to have the new tuner coded for your vehicle?

I did not have to recode my tuner. Its just plug and play.

If i want to replace head unit with after market one like dynavin.
I've still to replace radio tuner or the new unit will bypass it ? Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |
I am not too sure about Dynavin. Check out the AVIN head unit. Installed mine and I love it now! This does replace the radio tuner. go to avinusa.com

i have this problem i only have one speaker working
it is a common fault with all x5 its the radio module in the boot you can get them fixed on ebay for £100 i put a tester on the wire which is running the one speaker to find it and then i put a feed from the other speakers in to the one to make them all work. hope this helps |
