Well i used to have a mercedes C200k Wagon and it had rds and it worked
but the x5 rds wont work. It still says e.g. 101.9 instead of FOX FM like my old car |
Did you turn it on? On the widescreen you switch RDS on and off with the INFO button.
Also go into service mode - on some radios you can disable RDS, make sure its not disabled. |
How do i go into service mode?.
I have tried to activate rds using info but when i click RDS nothing happens. Any thoughts? |

RDS decoder = an integrated circuit inside the radio. This means a radio repair, you need to be an electronics tech to do this. May be easier to get a replacement radio.
TP softkey = the softkey labeled as 'TP'. It appears on the screen when you press INFO. |
Service mode will show if you are receiving RDS data, you can observe PI code and RDS quality info

Ahh ok i will go do that now:

And nothing happened. I put the key in then pressed INFO then held the right button with TP for a while and nothing happened |
Actually it worked i was pressing the wrong button, Ok i got all the information that was on it
