Thanks for that - it gives me slight encouragement to go and see if my local BMW garage - Ocean - can fix it in short order without claiming I need a new unit.

I have fitted an alternative unit before and it had the same 9 second blink so I know it is not that.

TM unit is the best bet still.:iagree:
