cheers Boatman. |
No problem! Hope it works for you!!
|
I'm up to speed so far so i need to now remove the black hood bit (tv tuner) and the lead which I plug my new bit to is under it?
|
Yeah if you have a black protective cover then remove it to get access to the plugs that go into the module. I take it your NEW TV LEAD has two plugs? One at each end?

Tip top Sudesh, all in all working and all back together in 15 mins and thats at the hands of idiot (me!) thanks for your help now I want more channels and a tv for the roof! oh and dvd! Christmas is coming!!
cheers again |
Great stuff!! Glad I could help! I have a dvd player in mine, plus planning on buying a free view box which will allow me to pick up some SKY tv channels! was going to put in either a roof mount tv or head rests but decided not too, as I'm really the only person in my X. I have yet to carry any passengers in the rear.

ahhhh free view box more info please
|
You can buy an in car freeview box just like the one at home only alot smaller. I know I can wire it in to my system as I have a DVD player with aux inputs. Check ebay, I seen them on there.
|
In my e46 I can get freeview channels (sky one, dave, the hits and so on)
Is this not standard then? Sorry, but I have only havd my e46 for a week now & still finding things out about it.. Thanks in advance.. ASH |
If your X5 or E46 is 2005 or later, it will be fitted with a digital TV tuner, so you will get freeview.
Have you activated the TV on the move yet? Where in Staffs are you. I am in Stone...... |
