What's the cost from going to MK3 to MK4 hardware upgrade?

I'm a 4.6 newbie, I'm assuming an 02 4.6IS has the MK3. Let me know, thanks!

2002's had a MK3 (CD based). You can find used MK4's (DVD based) for $600-$750. You don't want to know the new price.
