This was a reply to the PDC feature, not the POI thing which could be possibly be implemented.

I did't see in the i-Bus commands from PDC except On or Off PDC

Bombolo 02-24-2007 06:16 PM

It is strange, because you can test it via OBD with MODiC. You can see the measured distance for each sensors on the MODiC screen.

Gren 02-24-2007 06:22 PM

hmm. I'm testing iBus onecemore tomorrow
PS:Whence this picture?

Bombolo 02-24-2007 06:32 PM

It is an E65's PDC Screen.

Gren 02-25-2007 02:08 AM

I was right. At night I have looked WDS. On PDC there is no i-bus, only k-bus. And on navi only i-bass, therefore in the i-bus there are no data. So in v29 PDC it will not be exact.....

how about radio freq/text on bottom bar?

Since there have been a couple of "feature requests" dropped in this thread, I thought that I might chime in...

How difficult would it be to have the radio information shown when in navigation mode? I think that it is odd that when in full-screen map mode, we cannot see any radio information.

I hope the we get this feature in an updated SW version. The "bottom bar", centered between where the date and time is presented, would be a great place to display the following information:

TIME [preset#] [frequency / or RDS Station Name] - [RDS Text] DATE

Examples:
10:45PM <spaces> FM1 [97.1] - My Song <spaces>12/25/2007
10:45PM <spaces> FM1 [Cities97] - My Song <spaces> 12/25/2007

Would this kind of radio information be useful to anyone else? Perhaps this should be a new thread?

That's what split-screen is for - it shows radio + nav info

Provides the info you want, maybe not the way you prefer - but it is there

How do I select split screen? I have a 16:9 monitor within telematics screen I have split screen selected but I can’t see any evidence that the screen is split…..is there somewhere else I need to enable it?

Thanks

Select SET (or Settings, depending on your language) from main menu in nav system
First option is Split Screen

If you don't see this option, your nav software is old and needs upgrading. You should have 3-1/63 or 4-1/80 loaded (latest versions)
