why don't we write ALL an email to Bmw to suggest the implementation we'd like?

Letz write it and someone find the right email addresses, then we can send the same email. if bmw receives 200 or more email saying to implement one function on navigation...it will probably do it!!!

so we REALLY NEED in my opinion:
1: possibility of viewing more than one kind of poi icon at the same time.
2: possibility to assign a sound (alert) to the poi (gas station etc).

those are VERY simple to implement for bmw!

..so, I'm not english perfectly speaking...so who writes this letter and then we ALL can send it?

do you agree???

Most standalone navs have had this feature for years, it is inexcusable for BMW to have such a dated nav application in a $1800 option.

BMW knew it !

The shortcomings for such an expensive system are really inexcusable (costs AUS$5600 here in Australia!). It only allows one POI to be shown at any time, there are no proximity warnings, searching for a POI is a royal pain in the a@# and BMW deliberately left out the Speed Camera/Red Light Camera POI that are included by default in our V13 maps. These are just to name a few.

Considering that you can pick up any portable nav for ~$500 with far more impressive features (and far nicer looking maps and navigation) it's sad to see BMW still flogging this 10yr old technology even in their 2007 models.
