Sorry for my misinterpretation. I see now we were all trying to say the same thing.
Back on topic, the rebooting/locking up problem is most probably due to the system trying to read or process corrupt/unexpected information, either from recently updated firmware or from the map disk.
To address the firmware issue, verify the disk used for upgrading against the original disk image file (use ImgBurn in verify mode). If errors are found then consider reloading the firmware.
To address the map disk issue, get a different disk (the current one might have become scratched or unreadable at some sectors). Preferably get the latest map version. Verify against the original if using a backup copy.
