I have also same problem, installed navi system to E39 523i 1996 year with low cluster; after radio, tv, navi is o.k. but when i turn on the car, monitor ask code? please help! how can i remove the code?

You must fit the high cluster to the car. Navi + low cluster is an invalid combination, never designed to work together. Many functions will not work.
Only solution is to fit the high cluster (or remove the nav :-) |
Hallo...I have changed the cluster with a new high one, but I have a big problem...I haven't any gong tone, and any other message typical of the high cluster features, like door open, light left on and the extended bc funcion. If I enter in the "secret" menù all the submenu is the right one for the high cluster. The cluster was coded to BMW dealer and then to the other one too. They say there is no solution, but I don't believe that... any suggestion?? The cluster i new and uncoded
