Surely, the second that you use this software you are opting for the 'not original' disk use. Surely it must have to rip (from original), add poi, and burn the new compilation to a blank DVD ?!

I'm sure the BMW OEM DVD is not RW, to how the hell are you going to add the POIs to a read-only media ?

Or have I missed something ?

Cheers.

Make sense of course. Also keep in mind the developper cannot sell a product that would encourage the use of non-official DVD Map...

Seems strange to me that no one (or at least hasn't post any feedback) as got any experience about this application since it looks to be clearly much more convenient than any other methods as seen on every forum to add POIs

The other thing that stops me from buying this straight away is that it can only show 1 category of speed cam....

i have POI files that are divided into different speed category..

also this means i can't show speed cam and redlight cam all at once...

but can't blame the author for this as it's the limitation of MK4

ok so i have received the application through email last night (within 12 hours after the purchase) and tested it using a backup of European Map 2007-01... and it work all as described !
I have now an additionnal repertory named 'Speed Trap' with 4 categories of POI. Of course you cannot display all 4 categories of POI at once, but this has nothing to do with the app but with the Nav OS...

I would definitively recommend this application for anyone like me who's been struggling with additionnal POI.

seems like a good app, but no use here unfortunately:saad:

there is no full map of Estonia yet, only one city:D

Does buying the app guarantee free upgrades (or indeed continued support/development) should a different format of Map DVD be released? I'd hate to buy it only to find that I had to fork out again in 12 months time when the app was no longer compatible with the new map DVD.

It seems that you will get the free upgrade, but can't remember where i have read this if on website or on an email when receiving the activation key.

From the web site's FAQ page:

Quote:

Q: Will the application support future map CD/DVD's?
A: Yes, new maps will be supported as long as Navteq/TeleAtlas/VDO keep the specification of the map DVD reasonably consistent with its current format. All future compatibility updates will be free to registered users.

Hello,

English :
Thanks for this picture, it's seems to be a good software !
Does it really worth the price ? It is a little bit expensive. 20$ should be a good price.

Can you add a picture in the POI search page ?

Bye

Thomas
