I have both a mk3 and a mk4 and all the images I make are mod2/form1 so that they work in both the mk3 and the mk4.
V5.5 works fine with me... If the image is not mode2 already then make one, (use mode2convertor and m2cdmgui), then save as a mode2, (this is what I do, I don't bother with magiciso). Then you can open the mode2 image (normally a .bin) then do the changes, then save (not save as), and it keep the Original file mode. You can not open a mode1 image and save as a mode2 image, it does not work like that, it must be mode2 first. HTH |
What do you open the mode2 imag with if you don't use Magiciso?
When I DnD and then save with magiciso it convert my mode2 image to mode1. I can't get my m2cdmgui to work now !!! It keeps saying it can't find mode2cdmaker!! |
Can you make me and image with danish spoken language if I send you the language file?

I then run the m2cdmgui and DnD ALL the files into the window, Then volume name = "NAV_SW" and create .bin file. save image to = "v32_modded" bingo, one mode2 image. Quote:

I did it! It works now.
I moved mode2cdmaker and the folder with all my files to the root of the C-drive. Now it works. |
Nice one, do all the language and txt changes now work too ?

I'm having similar issues upgrading my Rover mk3 which is at 3-1/31, I've tried several different images, ranging from OEM to modified. mode2convertor and m2cdmgui work fine, but I always get "Incorrect CD" when I try to upgrade. I've tried, MagicISO, ImgBurn and Clonecd, to write the images. 3 different brands of discs and 3 different drives. All I've succeeded in doing is making a pile of coasters :(. Any ideas?

There are no newer versions You cannot load BMW software onto a Rover Mk3, the boot mode prevents it. If you want a Mk3 with BMW 3-1/63 software, then you must fit a BMW nav |
Ouch, I was told (mislead) that the Rover unit could run the BMW software and do split screen etc. Thanks for the info.
