Where to find V32 ? when im going to take the step for updating my system i would like to use the last software.

I'm still having doubts wich one to use:

the 251 MB file called Navigation V31 or the 288 Mb file called v31_mode2-form1.

Its for MKIV.

Navigation V31 is for MK4 DVD GPS system/computer. v31_mode2-form1 is for MKIII GPS system/computer because the MKIII system cannot read mode1-form1 format. If you have a DVD GPS system/computer use the V31 Navigation software. If you have a CD GPS navigation use mode2-form1 software.
Hope this helps.

Does not matter - you can use any of them!

Hi Guys I have suscessfully ungraded my MK1V to ver. 27.1 from previous posts. I am now trying to update my maps. Got the link from a previous post;
"The latest NAV DVD (which I am downloading right now) is 4,668,915,712 bytes and should fit on a regular DVD."
http://www.mininova.org/tor/1297056
I have burned it directly as a .iso from the downloaded file. It does not show up when inserted in the MK1V, am I missing something does it need to be converted or burned in a special way? Thanks

You should burn it not as an ISO file...... Open this ISO file in some program (MagicISO, ImgBurn, NeroBurn, UltraISO etc) and burn it from this program

I used Nero 2 times and DVD Decripter once to burn it as a .iso. What format am I looking for if not .iso? The files show up the same as the downloaded file when viewed on the computer? When I insert the burned DVD the MK1V says no disk inserted please insert. Might just buy one off Ebay for $60.00. But this should not be that hard??? Thanks again!

I think it's too expensive to pay $60 if you have the possibility to do it free of cherge ;-)

Did you burn it as one file (*.ISO) or you've opened it and you have several folders on the disk?

A copy for $60???

The original disc from BMW is cheaper - cost is around $10 to $20

Why pay 3x for a copy...??

Scuba 06-23-2008 04:37 PM

Why pay at all if there is an image free of charge?

At least to find somebody in NC (or nearby) from the forum and ask for a burned disk for "appox 6 minutes" ;-)

Original 2008 Map disk from Navteq is more like $199.00 not $10-$20, you must be thinking of a firmware upgrade disk, done that already to ver. 27.1. I am trying to update nav. map disk to 2008 ver. I currently have a 2007 CD for my region. is there a real advantage to upgrading from the CD to a DVD anyway? I must have a bad image file as I receive a write problem from either burning software. I have wasted 9 disks so far.. Could someone please detail exactly how to burn it? See above post 254 for the .iso file. Has anyone else used it sucessfully or any ideas would be helpful. Thanks...
