Read it all. However it does not tell you what type of CD to burn it on (DVD-R, DVD+R, CD) do you need to make the disk bootable, etc. Lacking instructions don't help newbees like myself. I downloaded the V32 build which has a LOT of folders in it but I am not sure if I am to make a disk from this entire image. I've followed the installation instructions to the "T" but this build just wont load. I got a feeling its the way I am burning the disk.

Go to the dealer and buy the disk. It retails for $8.67. P/N 01 59 0 141 891

Burn the ISO to DVD-r single layer. Do not extract anything

If your car has the iDrive controller, then NO.
OS update is only via the dealer via the diagnostic system

Maps can be updated easily by replacing the map disc
