One helpful hint that I experienced when upgrading to V32...
I put the imaged CD in my nav computer, and I only got a black screen on the LCD. I did hear normal "read" drive noise so I decided to hang tight for a bit. About two minutes later, the CD ejected. I then put the map disc in and started the car. The LCD then showed an "Update Successful" screen. So if anyone experiences that, don't freak out, just be a little patient. |
Just want to thank everyone here for all the good information, even tho I dont drive a BMW alot of the advise worked on my MINI, I actually had the firmware upgraded by the dealer for free yesterday and then put in the new disk and was able to get the perspective mode just by following all the posts here.
Thanks again for the help |

Voice Data
Hello guys
I'm very keen to upgrade my MkIV nav to V32. Before I do, can anyone tell me if the voice data is part of the V32 firmware, or is it on the Map disk? I live in Australia, and my nav system has a quite acceptable language and accent for this part of the world. I don't want to lose that and be replaced by either another language, or other accent of English language. Does anyone kmow? thanks |

If you have a standard OS loaded, then the voice will not change. Loading a new OS will not change the existing settings, ie: the loaded languages will remain exactly the same after the OS update |
I have an '03 MINI with satnav (MK3) and would like to thank those on this site for helping upgrading to 3-1/63.
Cheers Chris |

.. and whats about MKIV? |
MKIV is now referred to as DVD-Top Navigation (10.0). Ver. 30 was the last time they called it MKIV DVD navigation on the SI B.
