I just tried to install the oem oem night day oem into my 2005 X5.

I downloaded the file and burnt it on a cd-r at 1X using imgburn.

I followed the directions and after a few seconds I got the message saying my navigation would be updated, but I got an error that said the disk is invalid and the dvd drive had spat the disk out. Now my navigation system remains blank. I left the car on for a few minutes and tried powering off and on. Any thoughts what I did wrong or how to fix it?

Thanks, Robert

Hi Robert, It sounds like you did everything right...

Which file did you use? (ok, ignore, just seen which one), what do you have a mk3 or a mk4 and what version were you running before you tried the update.

I'm away from my computer files until monday, so you may need to install an OEM image to get the drive back up and running until we fix the problem.

I got the oem v32 to install. That went ok so I feel more confident that I can't fully screw it up. I got the screen up and it says 4-1/00, but everything is stuck in euro mode. Is there a way I can get out of euro mode without dealer help?

Thanks

I think that you can if you have navcoder, its not something I've come across before, I've upgraded, downgraded and never had a problem, try a quick search as this has been brought up before.

P.S sorry your having problems.

Yea I am really surprised it did it. The only thing I have seen about it so far is you have to have dealer code it back to USA under the x5 tips regarding eliminating the accept screen. I feel a lot better now that its not just showing me a black screen. I really thought this would go really smoothly. I started a new thread asking about getting out of Euro mode. Thanks.

Hey I just got paranoid....there are settings for all that in the settings menu...geez duh.... got everything back to normal now. I am trying to reburn some of the OS now that I am a little less paranoid. In perspective map mode do I have to do something to see the street names?

I tried the M day night oem blue and that also gave me an invalid disk error. the choice 1 ...v31 Night OEM 1010

seems to work just fine though. Any thoughts?

Street names are not available in perspective mode.

Not off the top of my head, this one is one that was done first of all and has been extensively tested, the other ones were one off that I put up for others, I'll remove them as they are suspect.

Is there a way to change with navspeak the words?
I´ll stopping the word #8, when it´s nothing to say. I´ve changed all phrases with #130 to #129 and so the word #130 iss free to change.
But I don´t find the word 130 where I can delete the "pause" or the "quiet"...

Base:
There are radios, they will stop music when i´ve switched off (POI-Warn) (=change language). And´I´m interested in to change this error.

When I extract all words with csfdump.exe you can see, there it should be a way to change all...

(rename from csfdump.zip.pdf to get a zip file, or open it with winzip)
