Navtweak and Windows 7

Hi All,

I've just upgraded from XP Pro to Windows 7 and every thing has migrated from XP fine except navtweak.

It loads and works OK and then opens a navboot file, however .gif and .png files are not recognised so I can't change things like the splash screen etc.

Anyone else have this or know of a work around?

TIA.

Working with 7, 64bit Ultimate. No Problems so far with Navtweak 2.7. Tryed to change the Sky image and its working.

I have the 32bit version, .jpg can be seen fine (sky), its the splash and some icons that mine does not see.

Try swapping the splash and/or a .png icon.

mine works fine on windows 7 64bit too.

I'll try messing about with png and see what happens.

Thanks Neil, looks like I'll have to go up to 64bit then :(

Neil, What version of the GTk are you using?

Got the PNG rendering working now, but the gifs get a "error getting pixbuf from loader"

running 2.18.7-1 (win32).

I don't have GTK installed on. Win7. Which is what I use navtweak on. I use a virtual pc running xp 64bit. Check in the last few pages of the poison post as I listed which versions did and didn't work. I'm not at pc so can't check

Hallo ccfj1, wich version of gtk2-runtime You used when NavTweak did not working properly. I have the same problem with Win7 x86 and can't see the gif files in usw_load to change splashscreen on MK3. Now I use gtk2-runtime-2.16.6-2010-02-24-ash.exe. Must I downgrade to gtk2-runtime-2.16.6-2009-12-01-ash.exe?

All other versions but gtk2-runtime-2.16.6-2009-12-01-ash.exe did not work.

2.16.6 was the only one that worked with navtweak, but this does not work with POISon.exe.

So I have 2 versions on my PC, 2.16.6 for navtweak and 2.14 for POISon.

Thank You ccfj1 for the answer, I installed gtk2-runtime-2.16.6-2009-12-01-ash.exe and now I have no problems with Win7. Now Navtweak works perfect ;) .

Navtweak stops working

After a month of perfect working, navtweak2.7 stops work. Now I can open navboot with version 2.7 and operate with it, but when I try to save the work then I have a message: navtweak.exe has stopped working.
I use gtk2-runtime-2.16.6-2009-12-01-ash.exe for navtweak 2.7, and gtk2-runtime-2.14.7-2009-01-13-ash.exe for POISoN on Windows 7. These files are in bin folders of the program. I'm using navtweak 2.6 too and there is no problems with it. Does anyone faced with this problem?

P.S. It's full mystery to me. I installed virtual Win XP on my comp and installed GTK+ and Navtweak 2.7. When I run navtweak for the first time, it was able to save modified navboot, but when I tried to work with the program again, the program stopped working during saving the navboot. After that installed navtweak on 2 different comps and the results are the same: first run it works, second-no.
