To change the AV-IN setting, simply select AV, then press the right-hand control knob for the settings menu, and change the system to what you want. This affects AV-IN only, so you can eg watch PAL TV and change to AV-IN and watch NTSC from a DVD player.

All of the above is for the standard BMW TV tuner.
