As far as I know, only gresch, ylwjacket, and IflyX5 are "ex X5 owners" who still participate in the board...

That is, of course, unless YOU'RE trying to tell us something?
Or maybe "future X5 owners"?

Also - what about Joel - isn't he still around, updating the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Chronicles?

ps - still trying to figure out what the next car will be. I've narrowed it down to everything from a 1988 M5 (always loved those cars), to a current model 911 Turbo. An X5 4.8 is still in the running. A guy on the CTS-V Board has done some mods, and is up to 600 RWHP in his car. That could be an option as well. The only 'soccer dad' with a Cadillac that sounds like a '69 Camaro!

pps - Kewl is right on too - those 'other' sites were so full of people that wanted to rag on X5's, it stopped being fun in a hurry. This Board is great for that. None of the "you X5 guys/gals are so elitist" crap.

CTS-V's are hot... It seems like GM is putting the LS2/LS6 in everything that it will fit in lately, but that Caddy is sweet. I'ld still take a vette instead, but if you're a sedan guy, it's tough not to look at the V.

I'd rather have Vette too, but with 3 kids, it's a little out of the question for me as a daily driver.

One thing that's wearing me out on the CTS-V is exactly what you said - they're putting that motor in everything these days. So, with the new factor having worn off, I need to boost or move on.

The 2 cars I have owned that I loved the most were the X5 (4.4 SP), and a 1987 535is. I saw that exact car for sale on ebay the other day, and almost bought it, but my kids walked in while I was looking at it and ratted me out to their mom. They're getting rocks in their stockings next Christmas!

Ex-X5 4.4 owner... cause the "ex-ceo" has it now. I just have the M3 and would one day like to have an X5 in the driveway next to the M.

I completely understand. I'm keeping the gf at bay about getting married because I know as soon as that's a done deal, the vette will probably have to go, and I'm not ready to do that yet

Better believe it. I was married in September. Bought a 2001 X5 on Sunday and my corvette is now for sale. She refused to drive it so I didn't have much of a choice. I'm not too bummed though, because I really dig this X5 (except for 1st gear and the peeling door handles). Oh, and the wife. I really dig the wife too.

Count me in

2001 X5 3.0 purchased used with 50K miles on it and just like new. Traded in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 8000 hated miles on it. There is no comparason in the two vehicles. Also gained a super website in the deal xoutpost.com rules..
