Quitting is not nearly as hard as STAYING a non-smoker.

I'm alreay "down to a few cigs a day" (four or five), but that if four or five too many.

Does it require a prescription? If not, is there a brand that stands out from the rest? Any *better* sources of information? (Sorry for the multiple questions - I figure you probably researched this before)

Did for a little while in high school because it was "cool", but that lasted only a few months; now it's just a cigar every now and then.

Juan, you can do it. It'll get easier once your house gets done.

Juan- we'll help out with the effort to quit, bro. I've been w/o a smoke for a few weeks now, and although I wasn't a regular smoker, I know how it is to deny yourself something.

Surround yourself with people who care about you, tell them your plans to quit, and they'll help you along. Finding a hobby or something to keep you occupied (moderating X5 World in a smoke-free new house) and burn time, not Red Kamels!

We have a Juan quit smoking reward going. Juan it's still on the table. If you are smoke free by June and we will need your CEO's help and confirm, I will again pay out of my pocket any mod that you want to do on the X that is under $500.

that should be a pretty good encouragement!!

I wouldn't smoke, but the awesome exhaust fan feature in our cars makes me just want to use it! Has anyone ever noticed this? When you've got the front defrost function on, the smoke just jumped right into the dash and leaves the cabin. Pretty nice, eh, too nice not to be used!

I really appreciate you guys' concern and care. It's sweet of you. I don't need an "incentive," though (and would never take it); knowing that smoking can cause several forms of cancer, stroke, high-blood pressure, and even impotence is incentive enough, trust me. This IS a nasty habit, and I must quit. And I will... I'm getting on the patch this weekend (which you get over the counter, by the way, michelito), and see how it goes from there.

Thanks for the support, guys. It means a lot to me.

Juan

Juan, if you are refusing incentives then how about peer pressure? Every Friday you have to post how many cigs you had that week. We'll cheer when the count goes down or stays low. If the count goes up or stays high then....
