My X5 Story

OK, so this is over Christmas break, while I went down to Texas. I went to a bunch of places there, all the main cities from Houston to Dallas to El Paso. Anyway, to visit my cousin, we had to take a road in the desert where there was no one excpet cactuses and dirt. I really had my X5 for a couple of Months and I wanted to tested it out. I had my passenger take this. Kinda blurry, its at 122. (MPH). Well, compared to my minivan(whihc only went to 100), this car got there SO fast, it was really incredible. I was amazed at the 4.4's power. I feel sad now, back in NJ, with the TRAFFIC and COPS, i dare not to go above 70. Anyway, I hope you had fun reading this story I wrote.(Hey,... I was bored...)

How come it only went to that? 120MPH = 192km/h - I have broken 200km/h on several occasions out north on the way to the cottage.

Getting rid of it on Wedneday or Thursday.

They gotta pop in the CD Changer for me, and I have to get them the new insurance papers.

By the way, all BMW dealerships had offered me a pitiful $27000-28000 Canadian for my X5.

Going to Mercedes got me a cool $35000 plus a free CD Changer. That's an $800 value - the CD Changer on the ML uses a fiber-optic connection.

Well, BMW is dominating NA. That's probably the reason for the trade-in values they offered. Regarding the fiber-optic cable for the changer, that's the method BMW uses with DSP.

Yea, Chip, I know what you mean about NJ.

But if they really enforced the speed limit there, they would end up removing 3/4 of the congestion(10+ speeders lose license), having a buget surplus(tickets), having insurance rates go down(less bad drivers and accidents), having public transportation boom(see congestion), and get a chance to repair the roads.

I lived there most of my life. What I love most out here is the lack of people.

Similar to your Texas experience.

Probably the only other place that can compete with NJ in terms of brutal law enforcement is the province of Quebec.

They especially love pulling over non-Frenchies (the rest of Canada). Ask me how I know.
