i was a BMW owner for 10 years, had a 2003 BMW X5 black/black, sport pckg. cold weather package, privacy package, DSP sound system, 3.0i, clear corners package. first 50k had no issues, regularly serviced it, after 50k the car began to give me hell, battery/alternator had to replace 3 separate occasion, oil leak that would never go away, had to replace both left and right brake lamp assembly, engine belt (which would make noise when idle and i see nowadays on other BMWs). Instrument and Radio cluster pixels were going out and i couldnt even see the radio station i was on.

I made some modifications to the car, did rear and back window tints, added an AUX input, and changed the sport steering wheel, to an M steering wheel (400 bones for it).

All these issues made realize what worth is it in going back to BMW, albeit i miss the handling, the thought of going back made me worried in my stomach. I even tested a E70, a 2013 model X5 and it looked good for what i had but i ended up passing on it. I bring it up because i want to know what i thought of people moving away from BMW
