Sure do love Democracy...
Well the US sure does love democracy, except when the winning party isn't the one the US favors.... http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/....ap/index.html I understand all the concerns with Hamas taking over leadership of Palestine. I understand why Israel would be worried. What I don't understand is how some nations can sit back and dictate to another nation who can and can not lead that nation via a democratic election which was watched like a hawk. I guess I just don't want to believe that the world can be this corrupt. I don't remember huge headlines every day denouncing US leaders following the 2000 elections?

The US is not dictating who can or cannot lead Palestine. As you mentioned, the elections were free and fair. The US is just saying that it won't deal with, or financially support, a government that supports terrrorism.

Tell you what I think:
George w Bush and his good mate Tony Blair should sort out each of their own country first before they ever start to worry about others. Infact I don't know why anybody gives either of them the time of day after the farse of iraq and their lies. |

I don't want to start a flame war, let's just try to stay true to the original post: the future Palestinian leadership and our policy regarding it. |

I was trying to get the point over about we have enough problems well in the UK anyway without our Goverment going off on another one.I honestly thought the post was about the Hamas winning the election and how Europe and USA etc didn't want to deal with them. My apologies.
