Jennifer Heil just won Gold in moguls.
It quite entertaining now that they allow inverted aerial manouvers.

I turned off the womens hockey after Canada scored their 5th goal on the Italians and it was only half way through the first period.

Yay 1st of many golds to come. They should have mercy rule in womens hockey.

I don't know which is more exciting watching curling or watching paint dries.

Cheeky.

You never been to a bonspiel it's a curling tournament, traditionally held outdoors on a frozen freshwater loch. Brillant fun.

No I haven't but apparently if I do I'll bring along my fishing rod and do some ice fishing.

Oh yeah. I love watching the Olympics. The live broadcasts from overseas really screw up my sleep habits, though, because I tend to stay up really late watching practically everything.

One thing I really enjoy since moving up to Canada is that the Olympic coverage here is 100X better than back home in the U.S. where you can only find short highlight broadcasts with way too much filler, and commentary from lame broadcasters. In Canada, the coverage is almost around the clock, the focus is primarily on the events rather than useless background stories, and the quality of commentary is much better. Kudos to the CBC.

You can do a lot when you're funded wiith tax payer's money and don't have to worry so much about ratings.

I agree. Unfortunately total goals count towards tie breakers in the standings so they don't have a mercy rule.
