Too early to discuss... xoutpost.com stickers?

After reading MD's post from last month about trying to wave at other X5s on the road, I've been trying and trying, and have only gotten 1 response in about 12 hours of driving. (It was a guy - every soccer mom ignored me.)

Anyway - since you guys have made this a really popular place for X5 drivers, is there any thought to selling merchandise to help fund your venture? xoutpost.com window stickers / static clings?

Just thought I'd ask!

It's something I'd consider down the road a bit, but have been too busy of late to contemplate these types of "add-ons". And Drex has literally been working around the clock for the past 3+ weeks, he's a zombie right now.

First I want to implement something "extra" for those that were the contributing members and helped get this forum launched. After that we'll see if there is an interest in "X5world" related merchandise.

Keep reminding me, though - I appreciate it.

I see lots of hot soccer moms in X5's, and it just dawned on me that it might be one of your wives that I'm ogling!

I waved at an Estoril blue X5 this morning on Van Dorn St. and the dude looked at me like Was that you, Guinness?

Waving...a personal and unique situ:
-most of us Vette drivers wave at each other, (sorta like the PCar drivers, I suspect).
-Some other models of converts/Cabrios wave at each other w/tops down, on occas.
-Riding one of my sleds, I almost always wave at any other m'cycle, though it's interesting that the wannabe hard cores on HDs wave at me on my HD, but seldom when I'm on my other scoots.
-I wave at most X5s, as they are as common around here as a full set of natural teeth in locals' heads. Few X5s, (or locals), wave back, lol!

I suspect driving the X, espc in today's society, is not the same as coming upon a fellow MG driver, top down, broken wipers, Lucas electrics failing, and a feeling of empathy, circa 1965, lol!

UCrew: helluva job you and DrEx have done here...whatever you choose to sell, I'll buy one of each to support my addiction and your efforts. BR,md

There are actually rules to P-Car waving:

- It's OK to wave at any model year older than your own.

- Wave to newer model type than yours only when you're waved to first (snobbish wave back only since they are all water pumpers)

- Same for Turbo vs non-Turbo. Return a Turbo's wave but don't initiate (but only because Turbo's are cooler)

- Don't bother with Boxsters or Cayennes

Hey I have access to the graphic affects stickers for auto windows. Its like tint from far away with whatever picture you want but you can see thru it just fine. You guys might have seen it on pickup trucks on the back windows like the flag or company logos. Just give me the picture or graphics you want. So admins and mods keep me in mind if anyone think this is a good idea for the future. I can find out how much it will cost and so on depends on size.
