Digital camera

I'm looking for a new 'point n' shoot' digital camera, any ideas? I'm just looking for something that will give a good picture.
A friend of mine has this camera he's looking to get rid of:

Thanks guys.

As opposed to a camera that does not give you a good picture?

E: Some more basic info is needed for me, or any of the real Xperts to give you some rec'ds:
-how much you wanna spend?
-snap shots, 4x6, bigger prints at a lab or WallyWorld, etc.?
-no snap shots and just into your hard drive?
-pocket sized/thin or palm sized, or bigger?
-are you photo knowledgeable, or you just wanna point and press the button?
-etc., lol!

-around 600
-most likely nothing bigger than 8x10, either print myself or wallworld etc...
-hard drive first, printing second
-kind of personal there, no? I have one of thoss slim Sony's (T7?) and I take more pictures of my finger than anything else..
-more just point and shoot

Thanks!

I'll suggest Fuji FinePix S9000. It is in your range and is the best one available so far. I am really impresses with quality of pics and looks of the camera. Reviews are good too. It is 9MP and has 10X optical Zoom and costs $550.

Eric,
You can get rec'd to the end of the week, lol!

I've shot with a friend's Canon SD550: outstanding point&shoot very good CCD and quality...I agree w/Jaba and SG. If I was looking for a reasonably priced, non-gizmo'd to death cam., espc. for the non-SLR shooter, well under 4 bens, I'd pick that one.
My Qtr's up...

Both cameras look like good candidates. It would be hard to chose. So many choices. Somebody just pick one out for me!

I've always favored Nikon cameras, as their lenses are of high quality. For $600, I think you can find something online that has more than 5.1 megapixels.
