Dubai actually has very little oil left. It has some gas supplies, but nothing like the reserves of Abu Dhabi or Qatar. It's made money from oil in the past and now has a large tourism industry and trade sector.
This project is tiny in comparison to the one on plan. There is a much larger slope to be built in DubaiLand. You will be able to rent a chalet on the slope! It's fun to be able to able to ski and go to the desert all in the same day.

$2.39 isn't anything now, remember just 6 months back when premium was like $3.25 or more?
I heard a senator make a very good point. If you want to get the US serious about alternative fuels, make the gas price $5.00+ a gallon. Then consumers will push for E85 fuels and flex-fuel development.
