Talking Saw S550 vs. 750Li on the freeway!

On the way home after picking up the M3 from the dealer for scheduled service, on one of the OC freeways, we had a S550 in the #1 lane and 750Li on the #2 lane (both were brand new with no license plate). My wife recognized the new S-class right away. However, as both cars were driving side-by-side, the 7-series still looked a little taller and wider than the new S-Class.

The new S550 looks like a "mini-Maybach" but the 7-series still looks more larger.

I read an article from Motor Trend Feb 2006 which listed the size of the S-class vs. the competitors (Jaguar XJ8, Audi A8, and 750Li)....The S-class is the longest and slightly longer wheelbase than the 7-series, but the 7-series still has more headroom, legroom for both the front & rear and trunk room than the new S550, Jag, & Audi A8.

But that S550 does look nice.
