A friend of mine who has a jet rating happened to call--he said flying a large airliner in good weather is actually quite easy. It's the landing and night flying that takes skill. I think it is the evil simplicity of the act that has us all looking for "a grassy knoll shooter". Had the buildings not fallen, we would not be so psyched out by this event--No doubt, government in general needs to be constantly monitored, or they will take liberties with the truth. I still have not watched the whole video--sounds interesting.

"It happened...it's done...let it go?" When we start to forget about an event that killed over three thousand of our fellow citizens and pushed our country toward becoming a completely different society, we don't deserve any freedom at all. Not wanting to know exactly what happened (because chances are that we do not) is deplorable.

not to fan the flames, but has anyone looked into political philosopher Leo Strauss and the Straussians? Strauss taught at the U of Chicago

consider the following list of his students or students of his students: Justice Clarence Thomas; Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork; Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz; former Assistant Secretary of State Alan Keyes; former Secretary of Education William Bennett; Weekly Standard editor and former Quayle Chief of Staff William Kristol; former New York Post editorials editor John Podhoretz; former National Endowment for the Humanities Deputy Chairman John T. Agresto; Alan Bloom...and more

to paraphrase an important Straussian tenet*, "the common man can
not handle the truth". They believe in an elite class of men that are superior beings. if you have time, google the name...it's pretty interesting stuff!

*philosophy inadvertently exposes commen men to certain hard truths, truths too hard for them to bear: that there are no gods to reward good or punish evil; that no one's patria is really any better than anyone else's; that one's ancestral ways are merely conventional. This leads to nihilism, epitomized by the listless, meaningless life of bourgeois man, or to dangerous experiments with new gods

I'd recommend Wikipedia.com as an interesting intersection for info from several perspectives. I'm particularly interested, on futher review of the updated video (for those who haven't watched them, make sure to see the Updated Video link in the original post, since it includes all the content of the first, plus more) in the following...

*Several people asked about the "19 hijackers" including several people who are alive & free. At least 6 have been reported exactly as such by the BBC, not exactly the top "conspiracy theorists" worldwide, and no strangers to conflict or even AlQaeda attacks, yet they reported the facts here, even including that one man, now in Tunis, had taken flight lessons in Florida as the FBI claimed... He remains a pilot in Tunis!!! Here's the BBC's article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/1559151.stm
So why deny it so vehemently? (Elvis & 2Pac?! I haven't seen the BBC claim that lately! LOL) Why no US coverage of this?

*And from the FBI's own agents (or ex-agents as they've been canned) is a very different story of pre-9/11 intelligence:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...38009368964163
*Molten steel wreckage remained molten for up to 6 weeks after 9/11, despite the clear discrepancy of temperatures that would cause this (kerosene burns far too quickly & too cool to linger 6 weeks later). Many Chemical Engineers find clear fault with the official story.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11_co...r_debris_field
*Structural Engineers also challenge the official theory of the collapse, especially the pulverized concrete, which runs counter to any other building collapse in history. Also the lobby blast damage soon after plane impact, clear in both interviews & live footage. Speeches re: structural analysis:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...78758602000405
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...10169657809939

It's just an interesting convergence of factors that point to all perspectives being theories only. Just like the total disappearance of flight 93, perhaps there were emergency measures taken that are not being openly discussed. Personally, that's my take on the info so far... That difficult questions of life, death & damage were made as that day unfolded, and we will likely not know the actual events & conversations for some time.
However, as both a US & world citizen, I agree with others here that it behooves us to be curious about this tragic & historical event in our lifetimes.

As far as the Pentagon is concerned, I have discussed the crash with the doctor who assumed command of the fire/EMS response at the scene. There is no doubt in his mind that this was a plane crash, rather than a missile/bomb. He was there. He is a civilian, with no reason to lie or be coerced.
