I was in Vegas on Friday and Saturday and it was snowing on and off...interesting weather for March.

We'll, I planted winter rye which easily handles the lower moisture and cold night temps. I still only water once every 3 days. Some plants get nailed by frost. It's usually the Lantana (the small green patches on the right side of the pics), I already had to cut them down to the nubs, and what you see is all new growth. All the other plant/tree material in my yard is made for this climate, so they stay green year round. Those ficus trees for example are amazingly hearty. Nothing seems to bother them, from 30 degree nights to 115 degree days.
