I guess 5:30 AM qualifies as an all-nighter, no? funny timing too: juuuuuuust as i pressed print on my 15 pg final paper for my legal writing course (it's a supreme court brief), i got an email alert to a new posting on x5world that's one way to end the night/start the day!! haha......

yay now i get to sleep for 3 hrs, wake up at 9, proof-read/edit and turn in the paper at 1130!!

ok don't mind me i'm just a little loopy right now

Good luck...
I remember those days. Staying up late and waiting 'til the last minute to do court briefs....Which one did you have to do?
I think my class was constitutional law...[loved the deep discussions, but hated the prof. ]

NOC: i didn't mean i was doing a brief of a court opinion, i meant i was writing a supreme court brief on behalf of respondent attempting to ensure that defendant's appeal was denied and that the lower court's holding was affirmed. it was just a hypothetical we had based on a real life case from a year or two ago here in san diego... and i certainly didn't leave it for the night before -- it was our final for the class!! -- but somehow wrapping it up / editing it just wouldn't end!!

GREG: haha diff-eqs, yeeeeeeeeah!!!! i remember those i used to be a physics and then a math and finally an econ major at ucla ... but i can't say i miss doing those lol

anyway i'm in class now and just turned the thing in ...... now we're talking about the oral arguments we "get to give" in a week based upon our briefs ...

Got You Beat, Buddy

Not to hijack your thread, but I've you beat. 12:30 AM Sunday night (Monday morning), and I'm on page 3 of a 12-pager. We get a call from one of our former neighbors (we just moved out a few weeks ago), telling us that our other house is ON FIRE!!! Lighting struck the house, and it started a fire on the attic. The attic and the roof caught on fire. When I got there, the flames were shooting up from my roof. Not a fun thing to see. The fire department put out the fire within one hour, but then they started poking around and basically tearing out the rest of my attic to ensure there were not hot spots.

Got back to my current house at 4:00 AM, and finished my paper at 8:00 AM. Took a shower, shaved, went to work. We were called again at about 10 AM. Apparently, even after all the poking not all the fire was out, and burning debris was falling down. Again, the fire was put out. After work, I went to school, turned in my paper and, of course, attended class. Sleep: ZERO hours. Got home, helped with dinner, ate dinner, checked email (and X5World, of course), and I went to bed at 10.

By the way, no one was hurt. The house can be fixed/replaced. The roof, attic and carpets will have to be replaced, but like I said, the house was empty. We were in the process of cleaning it, painting, and replacing the carpet before we put in the market. More of an annoyance than anything else.

Juan
