Wow, thank you all for the positive feedback -- I'm so glad that everyone likes it so much!! And you're very welcome, it's my pleasure....

To respond to some of your questions, it's a funny coincidence that I had the time to throw this thing together. Ever since high school, I've been playing with the various new iterations of 3D Studio (which eventually became 3D Studio MAX along with all of its never-ending upgrades!), Photoshop, and of course Premiere. (http://home.comcast.net/~mehoag/dgpulse for some VERY old website showcasing some VERY old artwork created during the end of high school / beginning of UCLA).

About a year(?) ago I decided to create a truly larger-than-life project: I wanted to create the entire Solar System in 3D, built entirely to scale, using actual NASA photographs for the planets' textures.

Amazingly, it actually worked: however, even when scaled down to the smallest workable level in 3D space on the computer, it was a hugely impracticable model to work with. In order to see the entire Solar System required zooming out SO far, that I had to render the entire scene at an eye-watering 800 dpi, just to make the red orbit trails show up.

(ASIDE: i'll upload some pix if anyone is interested, it's actually kinda cool )

Anyway, the point is, I realized I had this awesome 3D model of the Earth I'd created, but hadn't yet done anything with!

The animation fly-by was thus imported into Premiere wherein I simply threw in the Roundel, added the text, animated the respective elements, and overlaid the sound effects.

NOTE: FOR YOU X3 OWNERS OUT THERE, IT'S A TRIVIAL MATTER FOR ME TO CHANGE THE ANIMATION TO REFLECT X3WORLD.COM AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE, I WILL CERTAINLY DO IT!! (just tell me what to do with that 4.4 V8 thunder at the end!!)

TRIVIA: can anyone figure out what the sound effect (BEFORE the X5 driving away, obviously!) is?

Anyway, I'll see about upping some of those Solar System pix, I think you'll like those ...

Ok have a great day everyone!!

P.S.
