Criminals know well that public crowded places are their best opportunities! I've seen the same scenario when we drove past a woman being hit in broad daylight. Thankfully there were 3 of us who were able to separate & subdue him (yes it did take a sucker punch for him to calm down) and get the police out. She was very thankful, as things could've gotten much worse. It's great to see the heart of Laura & AR in their situations, but also good to prepare in advance. Pepper spray & some self-defense training does wonders to prevent anyone from becoming a victim. The most poignant moment in over 10 years of martial arts training came when our sensei shared a story of a South Bay area rapist who prayed on women alone at home... over 30 of them had been raped! No neighbors responded, though they all screamed for help. We should all be ready to take action when situations like that arise. Thanks for a valuable reminder. |

I think the problem is that if you get involved you then get subpoena to go and testify, and guess what happens if the DA gets their way and you don't go...you go to jail, in the case of the little girl I would have gotten involved but i've learned my lesson from personal experiance, my saftey was at stake and I was still threatened of jail time by the D.A.
