There is a short video of my running SlingMedia on my Windows Mobile Phone. It's a Sprint PPC 6700 EVDO phone. The video is very decent on when using the EVDO service. Cheers.

Talking

Yup, yup! Love the Slingbox....have been using it since 12-05. In fact, used it tonight to catch up on some shows on our TiVo. Best add-on for TiVo!!

You can search for my review of the slingbox here @ X5World. SANguru got one after it.

I'm always looking for larger and larger screens - I went from a 50" plasma to a 106" theater projector. The trend with Slingbox seems to watch programming on a 2" mobile screen. Unless you need to keep up with Idol on the train to work - what is the facination with watching on such a small screen?

Is is simply the cool factor?

For watching it on the PPC, it is a bit of the cool factor, but there are also some useful purposes.
  • Stuck in an airport and have no desire to whip out the laptop.
  • In your home and you want to watch TV in the bathroom (yes its crazy but cool)
  • Riding in a car (noticed I said not driving) and watching TV. No need for Nav-TV
  • At a boring event and wish to do something else.
Those are few things I can think for the PPC version. Again, Slingbox is geared for travelers that are always on the go.
