Flying Into DC Sunday, Need Help

Since Bush will be publically endorsing the american marriage amendment on monday, july, 5th I've decided to fly out there and protest the living hell out his ass, but I need a recomendation for a hotel sunday-tuesday, anyone know of a good hotel In DC? Thanks and have a great weekend all

I think it states that everyone has equal rights wrt marriage - everyone is allowed to marry the opposite sex...

Which airport are you flying in to? Reagan or Dulles or BWI? If it's Reagan- look for a hotel in Crystal City or Pentagon City or Old Town Alexandria. I can give you more specific rec's once I know which airport you're flying in to/ out of.

I have never been to DC, I'm flying into Reagan, which is closer to downtown DC (I know they have rapid transit but ever since my NYC incident because I can't read maps lol I try to avoid it)

Marriage Amendment=-Marriage=1 man and 1 women only, no civil unions or any type of protection for same sex couple aka me so I'm protesting it because It effects my life greatly, I guess no more seperation of church and state?

You need a civil permit to be married. You don't have to get married in a church (see: Las Vegas).

Actually, our subway system AKA Metro is VERY easy to understand and it doesn't have that many trains/stops as NYC has.

I don't know how close to the action you want to be, but the Willard Intercontinental and Hotel Washington are 2 blocks from the White House. If you have mad coin$$$ and you want to be right across Lafayette Square from the White House, the Hay Adams is where you want to be.

Guests of the X5World DC Meet stayed at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, which is 2 Metro stops from the airport, and 6 stops from the White House or the National Mall/Capitol Building.

There are plenty of Hilton/Embassy Suites/Marriott hotels in the same area as well, which are convenient to the Metro.

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City last month. Very nice, very conveniently located. it is right next to the Metro stop for Pentagon City. It's a very quick and easy Metro jump into DC and, as JV stated, is a quick Metro ride from the Airport (DCA). Whatever you do, don't rent a car. Metro is quick, convenient and inexpensive to everywhere.
