We have lotsa smooth 2 lane windey azz black tops here, that one can take a nap on, they are so empty. The pop. is so small here there is seldom another car, let alone "traffic", like back up in the good ol'Northeast.

Not bragging, but east of the Mississippi, these are some of the finest roads I've driven/ridden on.

No MD, they did not retire him. Cracks me up every time I go through. The bridge is a riot, sounds like a roller coaster going over those wood planks. Great view though and great ride.

If you are looking for an unbelievable road you dont have to look too far. Try Route 218 near West Point Military academy, off the Palisades. There are more twisties on this road than you can find anywhere and when you dare to take your eyes away from the road you have the most beautiful view of the Hudson River below. This is definetely not a road for the faint of heart. The road is cut into the side of Storm King Mountain and as I said overlooks the Hudson River and West Point.
