X on the Beach

Perfect weather this weekend. The tip of Matanzas was the softest I've seen it, and badly rutted from the bubba-mobiles, but even without dropping tire pressure and just using S1 and S2, the X was great. I suppose the tire width of the 132s really helps. This was the most aggressive 4x4 driving I've done in the X.

On the way out we passed this orange and black Harley edition diesel crew cab that had ground itself in to the axles right after nearly running down some folks' dogs. Ah, bubba, diesels are heavy, aren't they?

PS. Helps if you unhook the trailer...

And either my Nav is off, or the beach used to be bigger...

The X5 looks at home on the beach. Too bad mine won't ever see any surf and sand.

Wow, it's nice to see a BMW on the beach hanging with the bubbas. Nice pics!
