Woo hoo, crazy FEMA alert

Get this--a client of mine has a friend in the plumbing business in New Orleans. He was the low bidder on FEMA trailer set-ups for hurricane victims.

For leveling, blocking, strapping, and hooking up the plumbing and electricity for the FEMA trailers being used as temporary shelters for hurricane victims, he bills $6500.

His materials cost is $75
His labor cost is $225

In addition he receives $700 per month per trailer for "service suppport".

He has an 18-month contract for 1100 trailers. Have not done the math yet, but I know I don't want to.

Folks, these are your tax dollars. We should be in the streets over this.

Not even a lil'surprised...
It's our Gov't "at work".

The street deal is long over; any move to
be even slightly proactive, on a serious national
level would bring yawns from 95% of the pop.
and, beatings and jail for the hapless 5%.

We are truly entering the time, as victims, of
the Let'EmEatCake period here in the USA.

I saw something not long ago on the news that many (hundreds) of the trailers purchased for emergency housing are sitting unused. Some screw up, not the right type don't recall. Our tax dollars at work.

This is not because someone "screwed up" or because the government is inefficient. This nothing more than stealing. It is people in high positions using their power to reward no-bid contracts to these companies. The same thing is going on in Iraq where the military claims they cannot account for more than $9 billion. And the Pentagon as a whole claimed to have lost $2.3 trillion (yes trillion) over the last 15 years in an audit done a couple of years ago. They simply do not know what happened to the money.

in regards to most/all levels of goverment in this country, imo.
