Just got off the phone with the sales guy. Looks like we're a go for Wednesday. I'm rolling out early Wed AM (and taking daughter Katie out of school for the day to go with me) and heading for NoVA. I plan to get there around 11AM, check out the X and give them a chance to look at my EX to verify its condition (i.e. perfect). I hope to be homeward bound by mid-afternoon.
My sales dude is a bit dry and seems to be a little hard of hearing, but all in all he appears to be a reasonable fellow, matter-of-fact, spare on words, but quite genuine. After getting the details down, he complimented me on being one of the most professional customers he's ever dealt with. (And I was beginning to think he didn't want to sell me the car...) Hmmmm. Eliminate the emotion and all you have left is professionalism. Maybe I should start playing poker. I'm saving the emotion for the weekend! WOO HOO! I'm taking off W/T/F and of course I'll need to give 'er the standard Garage Detail (tm) with lots of Zaino and elbow grease and Lexol and petroleum distillates before I head over the State Park next door to get "Lost in the Woods" (Part III, if I remember correctly, eh Verbalkint?) and get some pics to post. Am I excited? Like a kid at 11:59pm on 12/24.
