craziest spontaneous trip ever?!
he's flying up here to oakland airport, I'm picking him up at 1130, and we're going to keep driving east through Yosemite to Bishop, CA and then on to Vegas, arriving (hopefully) before midnight tonight lol to catch some of the craaaaaaaaaazy Persian girls going wild at the huge Persian parties tonight lol  why is he flying up here? it was either drive with his bro and bro's gf from LA, sitting in stop and go traffic for at LEAST six hours; or come up here and make a fun day trip out of the whole thing, having a real adventure, and avoiding virtually all traffic  i'll have pix and vids upon return of anything interesting we find in bishop

CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!  got a few beautiful pix with an old 2.0 MP canon elph camera which i may post if anyone is interested ....gotta say those pix made the trip worth it even with the closed road hehlong story short, ended up being forced to drive all the way to LA, and then leave for LA on sunday, arriving 3.5 hrs later(!) around 4 pm. irony was that my buddy's bro and bro's gf had rented our a suite at mandalay bay, but we never got to sleep as we were back in LA at 8 AM after clubbing all night lol .... we didn't want to get stuck in 6+ hrs of traffic coming home on monday not too many crazy stories to report i'm afraid, although while en route to vegas, we were doing about 95 when a silver CLK350 with two persian girls blew past us at about 120+ lol ...... guess they were running kinda late lol anyway, for my first time ever(!) partying in vegas, i have to say, it was pretty sick: mandalay bay was super nice, and we went to Tryst at the Wynn hotel -- OFF THE HOOK, we were there from doors open @ 10 until about 3, then checked out the strip a bit, then were back on the road at about 415 heading back to LA, and then last night at 3 AM i ended up back in SF. 1,990 miles on my X5 in 5 days. WOW. time for a very long car wash and wax job heh

Back in 1976 my cousin and I decided to go through Yosemite to Bishop in my 1970 Porsche 914-6 but guess what closed! We drove all the way down through Bakersfield and the pass through Lake Issabella. When we finally got to Independence we had had enough 151 and Kona Gold when we drove through Indenpendence at 100 mph and got pulled over
 ! Sometimes you don't see these small towns when your having fun! We ended up in the same cell as Manson and were lucky enough to have cousin visiting from Kentucky and we were released. It pays to be a Hillbillly!

I partied at mandalay bay before when i stayed there. It was crazy. Very good time and i will leave it at that.
