1300 mile trip

I had a fun time with the X driving it from oc, ca to fremont ca, to santa cruz, to berkeley, and back home. It was an 7 and a half hour trip to fremont. Traffic sucked from LAX to San Fernando Valley. It took 6 hours for me to get home from berkeley to oc, ca.

A few things I would like to share.

- averaged about 85 mph on the I-5. Occasionally hit 125 mph on long clear stretches. average fuel mileage 15.5 mpg with 4 passengers and luggages.

- was using a 530i (who hit a top speed of something like 120mph) as a "rabbit" for about 200 miles till he figured out i had a radar detector and then used me as a rabbit right after. That car pulls like crazy for a 6. The X had plenty of power to pass and keep up with other "rabbits" inspite of having a weight of over 5k lbs.

- love the handling of the car but never really pushed it too its limits. I only realized how well this thing handles on my way up to santa cruz with the winding roads. A cls 500 was probably wondering how i could have stayed on his tail. The look on his face was priceless when i finally overtook him on the 101 at 90mph.

- killed a couple of Escalades, f-250's, Avalanches, and Navigators, towards the grapevine area after getting flashed and mocked. I was in the left lane, going above the speed limit, going with the flow of traffic. My bad for going fast, but they were seriously asking for it when they purposely floored it when they were right beside me. Eventually, i got spanked by carrera 4s that caught up..

- I tried to fill my windshield with as many layers of bugs as possible but i didn't want to compromise road vision so i eventually had to clean it anyway in a gas station somewhere 50 miles before bakersfield.

it's 3:21 Am. I will follow up on other details. Just needed to do something in the meantime, I was pretty much wired with all the Red Bull and energy drinks i finished during the trip... Goodnight, goodmorning and have a nice to you all.
