In regards to the depth of field trickery, I am not sure, as this is the photo the previous owner took and sent me before I bought it.

If it is a photoshop edit, and the hard break in the focus is the angled line above the front wheel, then why does the same line carry on behind the fork, where the cables are? Seems like a lot of trouble. I thought the line on the road was a natural shadow line, and that it was done without photoshop. I defer, however, to those who are better photographers than I am (and that includes most photographers). Jeff

1) Shadow line is sharp yet the shadows just above this line is very soft. Jeff, I see your point about the shadow line continuing behind the forks. The mask for applying the blurring filter was probably above the hard shadow line. 2) Halo effect around headlight (and the top of the bike in general) caused by applying a filter in photoshop. 3) Here is where the layers didn't line up. You can see a jog in the shadow line and gradient. This is the most telling indicator.

Thanks for the photo editing lesson!
I saw the halo effects, but didn't know how much of that was caused by the jpeg compression. It may be a hijack, but at least we are discussing the photo of the bike (again, it is beautiful), and not dolls Jeff
