The cutback is based on the fact NY couldn't figure out why they needed money this year.

They money they got last year was for specific "fixes" to problems that have now been fixed. Seems like simple math to me.

Rebound, NYC is home to the UN and the place where 9-11 took place.

didn't follow the link, but would enjoy doing Hillary! I mean come on, with an aggresive personality such as hers, you just know she'd be a dominatrix in the bedroom. Not that I need a bedroom, any old room would do, heck even in the X would be fine, after I put down some plastic that is! Gotta protect those seats

Yup, looks like you were paying attention (to part at least).

NY hasn't JUSTIFIED why they want money next year. It ain't as simple as expecting the Fed to hand out money "just 'cause."

It's my tax dollars (among a few mil others). If you folks in NY want it, you'd better tell me why (explain what you're going to do with it). Same goes for me asking for money out of your pocket.

Oh - BTW, I could give a rat's ass if the UN goes *poof*. No skin off my ass; in fact, it would save us all a lot of tax dollars (the US pays more than ANY other country to the UN, besides giving the f&^*ers a place to waste time), as well as reducing our political headaches (let's see, the countries with the worst human rights records are on the council for human rights? Check. That's going to help human rights around the world...) You'll have to come with something stronger than the U-f*&^ing-N as an excuse to waste my tax dollars.

Look, it seems to me that everyone in NY (to include those just over the border from Pennsylvania in SW NY) are going to scream about this. It's your home state - how can you help but be homers about it? Excepting, of course, facts and other such inconvenient things...

God forbid someone should remove you from the gov'ment teat or something. Why don't you guys just raise state taxes again? Seems to have worked in the past, right?

IMO, Homeland Security funds are such a load of crap to begin with...another form of pork...here's one way your tax dollars are being spent: a "911 call simulator/trainer" for $5000...WTF?

Florida received $53m in counter terror funds...Orlando ALONE asked for $28m...that's chutzpah...they received $9m. Homeland Security (your tax dollars) handed out the grant "because (Orlando) was left out last year". Not because they proved a need but because they "were left out". Effing unbelievable.
